Capturing the serene moment of a forest descent, this artwork is inspired by the view seen while hiking down from the summit. The setting sun casts the trees into stark relief against the backdrop, with birds flying over distant mountains giving a sense of calmness and awe.

Executed through a four-layer reduction print process, each layer boasts vibrant color gradients, lending depth to the composition. Reflecting both the summit’s grandeur and the journey of the hike itself, this artwork invites viewers to appreciate each phase of the journey.

I have a husband who pays attention, and so unexpectedly, on Christmas morning a couple of years ago, I unwrapped a cardboard tube.
